Farnborough State School students are invited to participate in a number of activities throughout the year. These include-
Robotics
Students are invited to join a Robotics group from year 5. Students in this group build and program robots to solve challenges,
Optiminds
Each year teams are entered into the Regional Optiminds competition. In three of the past 4 years, students have won the Regional competition and been invited to compete in the State Competition.
Interest activities
In term 4 each year students from all year levels are invited to join an interest group. Typical offerings include Zumba, Beading, Games and Mosaics.
Gardening Club
Green Club is held every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon for interested students and families. Additionally, students can choose to help in the garden during some lunch times.
Book Fair
Book Fair provides an opportunity for students to buy good quality books and raise money for the school at the same time.
