Students are divided into three Houses for sporting competition; Bluebottles, Green Crocs and Redbacks. We hold a yearly Athletics Carnival and Swimming Carnival. Other sporting events throughout the year include our cross country event, fun run and multi-sports day.
Students in Year 5 and 6 participate in an inter-school competition organised by the Keppel Coast District Sports Committee. These sports vary each term.
Farnborough students are regularly chosen for Keppel Coast District (KCD) representative sporting teams. A number of our staff commit to coaching and managing district teams.
Our Grades 5 & 6 students participate in Gala day activities with schools across the Capricorn Coast in terms 2 and 3 competing in various sports such as Rugby, Flag Footy, Touch, Netball, Bowls, T-Ball, Pickle Ball and Soccer.
Swimming is conducted in 4th term. There is a charge levied on parents to assist in payment of the bus and admission to the pool.
Our Farnborough State School equestrian team competes yearly at Alton Downs, winning a number of ribbons in all age groups.
